What is the Leap Conference about?
On the 13th December 2015 at Fairway Hotel, Kampala, we launched The National Association of Student Enterprises (NASE).
Leap Conference 2015:
On the same day, and with the support of Kingston University, London – the number one university for student and graduate startups in the UK, we took our first baby steps and successfully organised the “Leap Conference” – the premier annual national conference for all enterprising students and young professionals in Uganda.
The conference was attended by an impressive list of Ugandan students, guest entrepreneurs and inspiring speakers. We also had students and staff from Kingston University, London, who included Dwain Reid, a renowned student business coach and member of the Enterprise Department at Kingston University, London. As well as business games and simulations, delegates had a unique opportunity to share ideas and network over a few nibbles and drinks.
This day-long conference was just a taster, designed to help students and graduates literally take the “Leap” into the world of business and entrepreneurship. Several of the attendees have since taken the LEAP and started their own businesses.
