Dennis B. Aguma

Dennis is a passionate Entrepreneurship Facilitator and Business Incubation Manager with hands-on experience of setting up business incubation centres and offering structural support for startups, SMEs and enterprise programmes at Universities in the UK and Africa.
With a BSc. Hons. Business Management (1st Class) from Kingston University, London and an MBA (Distinction) from University of Surrey (UK), Dennis is also a Part-time Lecturer and worked briefly with the Auditor General’s Office in Uganda before moving to London where he accumulated over 9 years’ extensive experience in the Administration and Management of Pension Scheme Projects with major FTSE 100 companies in London including Capita, Mercer and Friends Life before joining Kingston University where he was the Business Incubation Manager of ‘Kingston Nest’ – the Enterprise Hub of Kingston University, London.
His current role in the Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences at Anglia Ruskin University involves working with colleagues in Research, Development and Commercial Services, as well as partner organisations such as local businesses, external funding bodies, research councils and government agencies, to manage and deliver a portfolio of research and knowledge exchange projects. One such project is a £1 million European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Anglia Ruskin co-funded project called REACTOR, that aims at initiating and supporting an applied gaming sector in the Greater Cambridgeshire & Greater Peterborough regions in the UK.
Dennis is passionate about Innovation & Business Strategy and continues to inspire many young entrepreneurs whilst also working with startups and big companies alike.

Dwain Reid

Start-up Business Coach

Dwain is a start-up business coach that works with ambitious people one-to-one and also delivers entertaining and educational events/workshops. A business management graduate, Dwain is also an entrepreneur running a six figure childcare service in London.

He has spoken for and worked with many leading companies in pre-start up/business development including Cambridge Leadership Academy, Shell Livewire, Ciity Business Library, Prince’s Trust, Young Enterprise, The Great British Business Show and NACUE among others. He has coached thousands of people, entrepreneurs, students, small business owners, sales teams and teachers either one-to-one, through key note speaking or workshops and currently runs the “Entrepreneurs” programme at Kingston University, London – the Number 1 University in the UK for graduate start-ups in for 4 of the last 5 years. One his mentees recently received £250,000 in angel funding and many have appeared on the UK’s no.1 television series BBC Dragons Den.

Dwain eats, sleeps and breathes business. He was a guest speaker and facilitator at the inaugural NASE’s 2015 Leap Conference in Kampala, and continues to offer mentorship and guidance on our events and strategy.

Dr. Ernest Abaho

Curriculum Curator

Dr Abaho is a Senior Lecturer, Entrepreneurship Researcher, Business Development Expert, Project & Strategic Management Consultant. He is the Head of Department of Entrepreneurship, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and contributes regularly on entrepreneurship matters, both in Uganda and globally.
Teaching Areas:  Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, Project management
Research Interests: International Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Behaviors, Project value analysis, Intellectual Properties in Entrepreneurship, Education in Entrepreneurship, Business Incubation.
Consultancies: Business development Services, Business Incubation development, Business Plans and feasibility studies, Business restructuring, Project Monitoring and evaluation, Management development, Leadership and Governance, Business strategy. Educational review and development.
NASE is lucky to be able to draw on his vast experience and expertise of entrepreneurship facilitation in Higher Education institutions, as we shape our skills and enterprise curriculum, both for ad hoc events and our national programme for entrepreneurship amongst Ugandan universities.

Carolyn Baguma

Communications Programme Consultant

Carolyn is a Development Consultant with a background in Operations Management, Marketing, and PR gained across sector such as Leadership & Development, Hospitality, Recruitment and Non Profit sector in the UK and EU.

She brings invaluable leadership experience from working with F100 companies during her time at the leading custom education provider Duke Corporate Education. Notably worked with organisations such as the National Citizen Service, Shelter, Oxfam and The Challenge Network.

In 2014, she founded the development consultancy Amulinde Ltd, a platform to continue working with Businesses, Charities and individuals in a development capacity. A key focus of the consultancy is Corporate Social Responsibility and engages with partners in projects that benefits the individual, the business and the community – –

She’s also a qualified Development Coach and Mentor, and currently studying to become a Neuro Linguistics Practitioner.
